OY

Well, I wish I had had more resolve tonite...I went out to Trivia since Bri runs it, and I shared chicken fajitas with him (I estimated a half portion to be roughly 12 points), and I was craving chocolate, so I got the mini chocolate bundt cake with chocolate sauce filling and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Damn good.

Anyhoo, I went over my points for today, but that's OK since it's dipped into my weekly allocated points. But, my point is I could have done without the cake, especially since cheat nite is tomorrow nite. So, Taunia. Keep me on track and remind me not to get a dessert or go too overboard! I hope your week's going better, and I hope you're starting to feel better!

yay!

I have two goals:

* my daily activity points target (2)
* my weekly activity (14)

I'll up it each month or so to keep challenging myself to do more.

I just got back from jogging today. Here's been my record of activity lately:

SAT - jogging - 3 laps - 10 min

SUN - big fat nuthin'

MON - Core Rhythms - 20 min

TUES - jogging - 6 laps - 20 min

My goal is to try and alternate jogging / Core Rhythms from day to day to work my body differently, keep from getting bored, and keep from getting sore.

We'll see how this goes! I'm trying to work hard to not push myself too much on jogging - last time, I pushed myself to do more each time, and I quickly went from 3 to 5 to 8 to 10 laps, and it was too much too soon, and I got burned out and frustrated because I couldn't keep up the pace. Plus, I didn't have Core Rhythms to balance it out so I was jogging every day. Now, my goal is to keep with 3 laps this week. Up it by one lap a week. If I jog more laps (like I did today), that's great, but now my expectation stays at the original laps per week, it doesn't go up if I happen to decide / be able to jog more later on in the week.

I still have 20.5 points left to eat for today and it's 4:30, so I'm feeling pretty good.

I am sad, however, that 20 minutes of jogging is only worth 2 points! I counted it as medium instead of high intensity because although I call it "jogging", I combine jogging and walking, so that it's roughly 2/3 jogging 1/3 walking. SO, it's not high intensity all the way, nor is it low intensity all the way. So, I need to be happy with the medium. Although I'm not :) Perhaps once 20 minutes no longer seems like a big deal, the 2 points'll be nothing.

I did it!.....today...

I felt productive on a number of levels today...I sorted through my shoes and packed away "spring/summer" ones. I sorted through my clothes and swapped them out of five-year old cardboard boxes into plastic bins. I sorted through my books and packed away unread ones into said five-year old cardboard boxes. I went through the pile on my desk and filed away three months worth of papers. I set up an e-bill for one of my credit cards and paid it online. I checked out apartments to rent and condos to buy.

AND. I ate healthily, tracked my points, and did some dancing for activity points. I earned 7 activity points today, and still have 3 points left to eat, and it's already 10:30pm, so it's a good night. Well, good day, really. I'm proud because I got up in the middle of watching the golden globe awards to do my Core Rhythms 20 minute workout. I tried playing it on my laptop set on top of the entertainment center, and it choked twice. So, I put in in the DVD player and played it thru the TV, missing 20 minutes of the golden globes.

The thing I look forward to the most is what I had written this past August, five months ago, while temping at the American Heart Association. In reading through their literature, I followed through on a suggestion of one of the brochures that said to list down everything you would look forward to in losing weight, becoming more active, and becoming more healthy. The one that resonated with me still today was "4. Free up my mind from worry (stand up straighter, suck in stomach, etc.)"

I'm hoping to be back on track, and today certainly helped put me in that direction.

Now is the time

I've been away from my blog for over a month....I have only weighed in once in that amount of time. Amazingly I'm still on track, losing weight. But I know my habits are getting back out of control. Gotta get back in the saddle. My goal is to try and keep track of my food and exercise this week. I will log back on to ww for the first time in a month and hopefully keep going.

Wish me luck.
